Glucovibes, the new tool to maximize Movistar Team's performance

Glucovibes will provide its technology with the goal of centralizing all relevant information for each cyclist into a smart app that aims to enhance performance through artificial intelligence and metabolic data.

Glucovibes, the new sponsor of Movistar Team for 2024, will facilitate the integration of activity, nutrition, rest, and physiological variables such as heart rate and blood glucose levels for the team. These measurements will be taken through sensors worn by the cyclists during training and team camps and recorded in the smart app.

Thanks to the Glucovibes app, the Movistar Team’s performance staff will be able to remotely monitor each cyclist and develop personalized strategies, aiming to refine the specific aspects of each team member with precise nutritional guidelines.

Through Glucovibes’ algorithms, each athlete will have their metabolic profile segmented into different states based on the time of day and the pillars of nutrition, activity, and rest. Additionally, Glucovibes allows the calibration of each metabolic system against its own metabolic database, which comprises nearly 1 million hours of metabolic data.

The intelligent algorithms, together with Glucovibes’ scientific team, can generate precision nutrition plans tailored to each individual’s goals. Beyond sports objectives, key applications include hormonal management, weight control, and overall well-being.

Glucovibes boasts the largest European database of metabolic information from healthy individuals and has scientific contributions that reinforce its work and research rigor. It also holds innovation certifications from both the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain and the Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa. In 2023, it was awarded as the Best New Technology-Based Company in the Basque Country at the Toribio Echevarria Awards, which honor Basque entrepreneurship.
