VibeBattery: discover your daily energy level

VibeBattery is a tool designed to estimate your body’s daily energy levels, helping you manage and tolerate various stimuli effectively.

Nutrition, physical exercise, and sleep are three interrelated variables not only linked to athletic performance but also to overall health. These parameters are precisely what we use at Glucovibes to calculate your VibeBattery.

At Glucovibes, we focus on understanding metabolism through various physiological and metabolic variables to gather information on how it adapts to our lifestyle. Starting the day with appropriate energy levels will help us achieve our personal goals. VibeBattery acts as a metric that evaluates aspects directly related to our circadian rhythms, providing real insights into how these factors influence our daily energy.

How is VibeBattery calculated? 

In our Glucovibes app, you will find the two questionnaires needed to calculate your VibeBattery. One should be completed in the evening, after your daily activities, and the other in the morning, right after you wake up. It is important to note that completing both questionnaires is necessary to obtain an accurate result, as the relationship between them provides the precise information that represents your VibeBattery.

To complete the questionnaires: Go to Add > Questionnaires > Morning / Night

Both questionnaires consist of simple questions that provide both objective factors, such as your hours of sleep, and subjective factors, such as your perception of fatigue, hunger upon waking, sleep quality, and your assessment of the day. A mathematical relationship between these variables gives us the information we need: how well your body is prepared to face the day based on the personal parameters described in the questionnaires.

Sleep

In this context, and delving a bit deeper into our score, we want to share more about the most determining variables for improving your energy levels. Sleep is undoubtedly the best physiological method for stimulating recovery. As humans, the negative effects of sleep deprivation can be so severe that they can cause chronic illness and completely disrupt our circadian rhythms, leading to significant side effects (1). Both the quantity and quality of sleep are crucial in this regard.

Consequently, our VibeBattery penalizes insufficient sleep (<6 hours) and a reduced perception of sleep quality. If you’re not sleeping well and not getting enough sleep, we’ll suggest that you take the day more gently.

Fatigue and exercise

Similarly, we precisely correlate your sense of fatigue with the external training load or physical exercise you had the previous day. This is linked to another subjective value that provides us with significant accuracy, especially when compared with baseline glucose levels: hunger.

Hunger

The perception of appetite and hunger is a highly sensitive psycho-biological parameter influenced by various factors, including physical activity, levels of fatigue, and blood glucose, among others. Hunger plays a central role in the relationship between energy expenditure and consumption, and naturally, this is closely linked to your energy levels for tackling the day. At Glucovibes, we consider feelings of hunger upon waking as an indicator of proper energy balance.

In summary, the calculation of VibeBattery relies on a combination of objective and subjective variables that follow a unique pattern for each individual. The system learns exclusively from you and your trends to provide the most accurate feedback possible.

The questionnaires in our app are simple to complete each day. With just 7 questions in total, our app can provide you with personalized feedback aimed at optimizing your health and performance each day.

How to Interpret Your VibeBattery?

One of the most crucial aspects of any tool is knowing how to interpret it and, most importantly, how to use it to your advantage. At Glucovibes, we’ve made it very simple for you. In fact, we’ve turned a very complex calculation into an output that’s easy to understand. We don’t want to give you more work, so we do it for you. Based on the calculation our app makes from the completed questionnaires, your VibeBattery is scored on a percentage scale.

To make it easy to interpret, we’ve categorized the calculation into three energy scenarios: GreenVibe, OrangeVibe, and RedVibe. Each of these represents a state of readiness or energy level: high, medium, or low, respectively.

Based on your VibeBattery, we can offer recommendations to help you first become aware of your sensations and parameters related to your metabolic health, and second, make specific adjustments to your day to help maintain optimal energy levels.

Why is it useful to know your VibeBattery for your health and performance?

As we’ve mentioned, training, working, eating, dealing with a stressful event, or simply living, involves stimulating our body to varying degrees. What matters is not the type of stimulus, but how our body tolerates and adapts to it. For this, our body needs to be in an adequate state to assimilate it.
